I have to be honest with you, lamb has not always been my choice of meat. But, recently I have come to enjoy these little burger morsels that Bob has come up with.
It doesn’t have a lot of added ingredients and cooks up quickly on the BBQ.
I would recommend serving it with a refreshing Mediterranean tabbouleh salad. The recipe can be found in the salad section.
Check out Bob’s recipe:
1 lb. ground lamb
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
Parsley (a couple of sprigs finely chopped)
Zest of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
Mix all the ingredients until completely combined.
Measure about 1/4 cup portions. Roll each into a ball and flatten slightly.
Spray large foil sheet with non stick spray. Place the foil on the hot bbq grill, lay the burgers on top of the foil.
Cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
Bob’s tips:
Slider buns or pita pockets work well for the burgers.
Serve with Tzatziki sauce or your favourite burger toppings.
Left over lamb burgers are great for a quick lunch, snack or dinner the next day.
Here is how Bob used some of our leftover burgers to make one of his signature pizza:
